Delve into what they look like and how they contribute to our knowledge of the solar system in Moons: Worlds of Mystery! It explores hundreds of these known satellites throughout the solar system, orbiting five other planets and even some asteroids and Kuiper Belt objects.

Shows are Friday, March 7, 14, 21 & 28 at 8:00pm; Saturday, March 8, 15, & 22 at 8:00pm; and Saturday, March 29 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm.

Limited street parking is available on Lincoln, Phelps, Hazel, and Wood Streets. Parking is also available in the Wick Ave. parking deck (M1) for a fee, or free with a YSU parking permit. Visitors should park on the 4th floor of the deck and use the pedestrian bridge to campus. From the campus end of the pedestrian bridge, turn left as you pass the library and use the sidewalk to the Ward Beecher Planetarium. There is a small handicap lot located between Jones Hall & Ward Beecher Hall.

Concluding Youngstown State University Theatre season is the Tony-nominated musical “[title of show].” This delightful production breaks the fourth wall with infectious charm as Jeff, Hunter, Susan, and Heidi navigate the highs and lows of creating a musical about creating a musical. With witty dialogue and catchy tunes, this show celebrates the creative process with humor and heart, leaving audiences inspired and entertained.

Performances are April 4-5 & 11-12 at 7:30pm and April 6 & 13 at 2:00pm in Spotlight Theater in Bliss Hall on the YSU campus. Tickets will be available for sale by visiting ysu.tix.com.

The night sky changes with the seasons and so does The Ward Beecher Planetarium’s Skywatch program. This LIVE traditional star talk covers the current night sky, constellation lore, and current astronomical events.

Big Bird’s Adventure begins on Sesame Street when Elmo’s friend Hu Hu Zhu visits from China. Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Hu Zhu take viewers on an exciting discovery of the Sun, Moon, and stars. They learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star and take an imaginary trip
to the Moon. Please note, no star talk included.
