Join the Ward Beecher Planetarium on the Starship Ward Beecher as they embark on a grand tour of our universe real time, with opportunities to influence where they travel and what they discover.

Shows are Friday, March 27, and April 24 at 8:00pm, and Saturday, March 28, and Saturday, April 25 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. All shows are free and open to the public (donations are always appreciated). No reservations are needed – doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. First come, first seated!

Limited street parking is available on Lincoln, Phelps, Hazel, and Wood Streets. Parking is also available in the Wick Ave. parking deck (M1) for a fee of $5.00, or free with a YSU parking permit. Visitors should park on the 4th floor of the deck and use the pedestrian bridge to campus. From the campus end of the pedestrian bridge, turn left as you pass the library and use the sidewalk to the Ward Beecher Planetarium. STARS focuses on the lives of the stars, how they are born, how they die, and how human understanding of the stars has changed over time. From Native Americans to Newton, from the electromagnetic spectrum to Einstein, audiences will explore nebulae, star clusters, pulsars, black holes, and more. The program features the voice talent of Mark Hamill.

Big Bird’s Adventure begins on Sesame Street when Elmo’s friend Hu Hu Zhu visits from China. Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Hu Zhu take viewers on an exciting discovery of the Sun, Moon, and stars. They learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star and take an imaginary trip to the Moon. Celebrate with Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu the idea that even though we live in different countries, we still share the same sky. Please note, no star talk included.

Big Bird’s Adventure begins on Sesame Street when Elmo’s friend Hu Hu Zhu visits from China. Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Hu Zhu take viewers on an exciting discovery of the Sun, Moon, and stars. They learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star and take an imaginary trip to the Moon. Celebrate with Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu the idea that even though we live in different countries, we still share the same sky. Please note, no star talk included.

The Youngstown State University Department of Theatre and Dance presents Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare. One of Shakespeare’s classic plays, Romeo & Juliet tells a story of young love, revenge and tragedy as Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall in love in defiance of their respective families’ long-standing vendetta.
