Get your summer off to a fun start at Youngstown’s newest event, First Fridays! First Fridays is a free event held at locations throughout downtown to kick off the beginning of each month. Head downtown on Friday, June 7, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and be part of the experience – music, entertainment, networking, delicious food, drink specials, shopping, art exhibits, family-oriented activities, and so much more!

First Fridays will be held June 7, July 5, August 2, and September 6. Sponsored by the Downtown Youngstown Partnership, Youngstown CityScape, the City of Youngstown, and terrific monthly sponsors. For more information, go to www.FirstFridaysYoungstown.org.

On the Terrace at 5! will be held on select dates this summer at Fellows Riverside Gardens:

The events will be held from 5:00pm to 7:30pm and doors will open at 4:45pm. The price for FRG members will be $13.00 per person and non-members $18.00 per person and includes two glasses of wine. Kravitz Deli will be open for the first hour with a limited menu selected by owner Matt.
Come and enjoy an enchanting evening filled with the perfect blend of great music, gentle summer breezes, and the tantalizing flavors of savory wines. New patio furniture and twelve shade canopies await you from thanks to disbursement of $105,043 from Friends via the D.D. and Velma Davis Endowment. Should the evening be chilly, there are also 11 new propane patio heaters on the terrace. Nestled amidst the picturesque beauty of Lake Glacier and the lush backdrop of the Gardens, the Terrace offers a captivating setting for unforgettable moments with friends.

Riverfest will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 11:00am-4:00pm. This is a free, fun, family-friendly event held at Spring Commons Park/B&O Station. There will be exhibits, food trucks, music, kids crafts, and the Komara Outdoor reptile display. Trumbull Canoe Trails will be there to offer kayak or canoe experiences on the Mahoning River! In addition, the Artists of the Rust Belt will be having a show inside the B&O Station from 11:00am-4:00pm.

The 43rd annual Shaker Woods Festival will be held August 10-11, 17-18, and 24-25, 2024 featuring more than 200 of the best juried craftspeople in the country. Each craftsperson will be dressed in Shaker period clothing while demonstrating and selling their remarkable handmade wares. While on the grounds, bring your walking shoes for a journey down the rustic paths throughout the beautifully manicured woods, while enjoying the aroma of great country cooking over open fires. Enjoy entertainment throughout the day with the sounds of blue grass, country, gospel, clogging and more.

General admission tickets will be on sale at the gate. ATM machines will be available on site.
