The Godfather Experience: an exclusive evening with Gianni Russo benefiting the Ray Mancini Foundation will be held at the DeYor Performing Arts Center on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 7:30pm in the Ford Family Recital Hall. This one-night-only event will benefit the Ray Mancini Foundation, founded by Youngstown’s beloved former world champion boxer, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini. This foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting at-risk youth, families in need, and other critical community initiatives.
The event will allow guests to step into the world of The Godfather and beyond as Hollywood Legend, Gianni Russo, brings his extraordinary life story to the Ford Recital Hall. This intimate evening, billed as “Gianni Russo: The Godfather Experience”, will be an unforgettable journey through Hollywood, organized crime, and the making of one of the greatest films of all times. Best known for his role as Carlo Rizzo in The Godfather, Russo will share behind-the-scenes stories from the iconic film, recount his personal connections to real-life mob figures, and offer a captivating look into a life that is stranger than fiction. From his unforgettable work with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino to his real-life ties with notorious mobsters, Russo will share captivating stories from a life lived on both sides of the law. This candid and riveting performance will take audiences behind the camera and into the underworld, delivering a unique perspective on the intersection of Hollywood and organized crime.
