Come one, come all! Youngstown sports are action-packed and full of local pride. You don’t have to drive all the way to Cleveland for a Guardians or Browns game when there are so many sports teams here in the Youngstown area. Whether you’re rooting for a local high school team or taking in a professional game, the Youngstown area is the place to be.
The Mahoning Valley is home to some of the best high school football teams in Ohio, and you can watch volleyball, baseball, softball games and more throughout the year. You can even catch some drag racing at the Quaker City Motorsports Parks!
From Austintown and Poland to Warren and Boardman, the road to the NHL and the MLB runs right through the Valley! We’re the proud home of the Youngstown Phantoms and The Mahoning Valley Scrappers.
And, let’s not forget that Youngstown State University’s sports programs offer a full range of men’s and women’s NCAA Division I student-athlete teams.
You can find YSU Penguins playing women’s basketball or men’s basketball, competing in track and field events or playing some of the best football in the nation.
