The Austintown Township Park is a 220-acre park with hiking trails, pavilions and ample space for recreational sports like pickleball, tennis, disc golf and more — all conveniently located on Kirk Road.
It’s the perfect place to enjoy a summer concert, take the kids to cool off in the splash pad or get an eye full of natural beauty during a quiet morning walk.
Dog Park
Austintown Bark Park is a dog park located in the northwest part of the park. It is fenced off into two separate sections: one with agility equipment and the other designed for dogs 25 pounds and under.
To ensure safety, owners must stay within the dog park fence during play and dogs must be up-to-date on all shots and vaccinations.
SplashPad
The SplashPad at Austintown Township Park provides a fun and refreshing escape for families during the warm summer months. Equipped with water jets, fountains and sprayers, the SplashPad has interactive water play for children of all ages. Important safety measures like non-slip surfaces are also employed.
Playgrounds
Austintown Township Park has an 18,000 sq. ft. PlayQuest playground area and several small playgrounds for children of all ages to enjoy.
Recreational Sports
In addition to walking and hiking trails, there are plenty of opportunities for visitors to break a sweat at Austintown Township Park. The park offers a diverse range of recreational sports options for athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.
Sand Volleyball
The sand volleyball court at Austintown Township Park is the perfect setting for both friendly volleys and competitive play.
Disc Golf
Austintown Township Park's disc golf course features a mix of open fields and wooded areas. With clearly marked holes and varying levels of difficulty, the disc golf course is designed for both beginners and seasoned players.
Basketball
The two basketball courts at Austintown Township Park are well-maintained and provide a great venue for both casual pick-up games and more organized play.
Cross Country Skiing
During the winter months, Austintown Township Park transforms into a snow-covered oasis with over 70 acres of open fields.
Softball and Baseball
Austintown Township Park has five softball and baseball fields for youth teams and recreational groups to play.
Pickleball and Tennis Courts
The pickleball and tennis courts at Austintown Township Park are a popular destination for sports enthusiasts. These well-maintained courts cater to both traditional tennis players and the rapidly growing pickleball community.
The Summer Concert Series
The Park Band Shell is home to summer concerts in the park every year.
The concerts are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, weather permitting. Check their website for Austintown Park’s concert lineup.
Pavilion Rental
You can book pavilion rentals at Austintown Township Park by calling 330-792-8584 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Options include the Firemen Pavilion, Paul Pogany Pavillion, Memorial Gazebo, Furman Pavilion and Kiwanis Pavilion. The Stacey Pavilion is an indoor space available for rent, which includes a kitchen and banquet hall.
Satellite Parks
The Austintown Park System also features 4 satellite parks you can visit: 9-11 Memorial Park (with youth league ball fields), Greenbriar Park, Veteran’s Memorial Park and Wedgewood Park (where you can walk in a streamside forest).
All of the Austintown parks are located conveniently close to Youngstown, Canfield and Boardman.
