Have you ever wondered why Christmas trees are decorated with garland and tinsel? And what’s with the pickle ornament? Now is your chance to discover the symbolism and traditions of Christmas ornaments at Mahoning Valley Historical Society!

Join Mahoning Valley Historical Society on Thursday, December 21 at noon for the monthly Bites and Bits of History at Tyler History Center. This month, Christmas Historian, George Johnson discusses “Why in the World is that on a Christmas Tree.”

Bring your lunch and join them in the Tyler History Center’s Thomas Ballroom for this free educational event. Bites and Bits of History Lunchtime programs are sponsored by the John and Loretta Hynes Foundation.
