The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor will welcome visitors back on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. The exhibit galleries will be open to the general public each Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am to 4pm and Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. They will be open additional hours on Fridays from 9am to 10am and Saturdays from 11am to 12pm for high-risk patrons only. Note the museum will be closed on Saturday, July 4 for Independence Day. They are continuing to work with Ohio History Connection and Youngstown State University on a plan to safely reopen the Archives/Library, which will remain closed until further notice.
The staff and volunteers will be wearing masks for their safety as well as the safety of others, and they highly encourage patrons to wear masks when they enter the museum. Please take priority in sanitizing and/or washing hands before entering and after exiting the museum; sanitizer stations will be available upon arrival. They recommend that patrons plan to pay admission fees by card or check, and group tours will require a reservation by calling 330-941-1314.
Their top priority is the safety of their visitors and staff. They are following the guidelines provided by the Ohio Department of Health to create the safest environment possible as they reopen their doors. For more information on what to expect on your trip to the museum, read their patron guidelines at www.ohiohistory.org/youngstown before you visit.
