The Youngstown Playhouse presents Outside Mullingar in the Moyer Room, February 24-March 5, 2023.
Called “a Valentine to the wonder and weirdness of love,” this romantic comedy tells the story of lifelong neighbors Anthony and Rosemary, a couple of introverted, middle-aged misfits. When Anthony’s father threatens to leave his Irish farm to American cousins, Rosemary jumps into the middle of a land feud and gets caught in a web of family eccentricities. Poetic, uplifting and delightfully funny, Outside Mullingar is a celebration of rural life, the indomitable Irish spirit and the belief that love conquers all.
Performances are Friday, February 24, Saturday, February 25, Friday, March 3, and Saturday, March 4 at 7:30pm; and Sunday, February 26 & March 5 at 2:30pm. By popular demand, two more performances have been added: Saturday, March 11 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 12 at 2:30pm.
