Not So Haunted House will be open to the public on Saturday, October 26 from 12:00pm-3:00pm in the Old Casals Aveda Institute in the Austintown Plaza. Kids of all ages are invited. There will also be a special opening for providers, special needs, and schools only on Friday, October 25 from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
This event, now in its third year, has become a beloved tradition for Gateways to Better Living and the community they serve. It’s a sensory-friendly Halloween experience designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for individuals of all abilities and ages. Free admission.
The Stations/Activities they plan to offer this year are:
- Tunnel of Illusions – SIGHT sponsored by Peace.Love.Balloon. Walk thru mesmerizing experience of a mirrored tunnel and other illusions.
- Cursed Castle – SMELL, SOUND, SIGHT. Listen to a story filled with magic that will affect all your senses.
- Witches Wardrobe – TASTE. Make a witches hat cookie to eat.
- Fascinating Fortunes by Madam Mischief – SOUND. Receive a fun fantasy fortune to take home from Madam Mischief.
- Prickly PUMPKIN PATCH – TOUCH. Dig through piles of fake grass to find a Halloween surprise.
- Dracula’s Dice – TOUCH. Roll a die to get a prize.
Some other experiences will include:
- A Practice Trick or Treat Door. This with help sensory sensitive kids get comfortable with the trick or treating experience! And get some CANDY!!! They will also pass out laminated Sensory Friendly- neighborhood cards for trick or treating.
- You look BOOtiful Darling – Creepy Carnival photo opportunity!
Gateways Booth- Candy Corn Count- guess the number to win the candy corn.
