The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra presents its second concert of the Platinum Classical Series of the 2019-2020 season. No composer worked harder that Bach – an organist, conductor, musical director of church services and even a teacher of a class of boys. The six Brandenburg Concerti for orchestra acquired their name from the Margrave of Brandenburg who commissioned them from Bach circa 1720. Each concerto, for a difference group of solo instruments, will feature string, woodwind and brass Youngstown Symphony Orchestra players.
