The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra presents its second concert of the Platinum Classical Series of the 2019-2020 season. No composer worked harder that Bach – an organist, conductor, musical director of church services and even a teacher of a class of boys. The six Brandenburg Concerti for orchestra acquired their name from the Margrave of Brandenburg who commissioned them from Bach circa 1720. The Ward Beecher Planetarium’s spooky and spectacular annual Halloween spectacular has been going strong since 1974! You won’t believe your eyes or ears! COME IN COSTUME! This October is Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods’ 25th year of hosting attendees from across the country at Shaker Woods in Columbiana, Ohio. More than 200 quality craftspeople and artisans will gather at the festival on October 12-13 and 19-20, 2019. In a manicured, wooded setting, juried costumed crafters will have their booths decorated in an old-fashioned holiday theme.
