The Youngstown Flea hosts a “Market For Makers” once per month right in the heart of the Downtown Youngstown area. This market is dedicated to local/regional vendors of hand-made, antique and repurposed wood/metal/furniture, vintage clothing, and collectibles. They hand select the best picks in town who have a true passion for creating. Market hours are 9:00am-3:00pm. There is free yoga at 9:00am. The 37th annual Shaker Woods Festival will be held August 10-11, 17-18, and 24-25, 2019 featuring more than 200 of the best juried craftspeople in the country. Each craftsperson will be dressed in Shaker period clothing while demonstrating and selling their remarkable handmade wares. The 28th annual Brier Hill Italian Fest will be held August 15-18, 2019 on Calvin & Victoria Streets in the Brier Hill neighborhood on Youngstown's North Side. There will be live Italian music, morra tournament (Friday, 7:30pm), Hot Pepper Contest (Saturday), Wine Tasting Contest (Sunday), and authentic Italian food.
