The City of Youngstown, Office of Mayor Brown cordially invites the public to attend the Unveiling Ceremony of the Inaugural Youngstown Walk of Fame on July 4, 2024, at 5:00pm. This landmark event will occur at the Wean Park Walking Path, closest to the Market Street Bridge.
The Walk of Fame project, launched in 2023 with a star-studded press conference, celebrates Youngstown’s rich history and notable figures. The first honorees, legendary musical group Kool & the Gang, accepted the flagship marker at last year’s kickoff event.
This unveiling ceremony will reveal Kool & the Gang’s permanent marker and the official Youngstown Walk of Fame sign. Mayor Brown will also announce the 2024 Walk of Fame honorees.
All community members are welcome to attend this inaugural event and RED CARPET to celebrate Youngstown’s heritage. The ceremony promises to be memorable, bringing together residents and visitors to commemorate the achievements of our local legends.
