Lit Youngstown’s First Wednesday Reader Series presents poet Jennifer Hambrick of Columbus and journalist and playwright Christopher Johnston of Cleveland on Wednesday, March 5 at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs. ASL interpretation will be provided by Meagan Albani.
Jennifer Hambrick is the author of poetry collections a silence or two (Red Moon Press), In the High Weeds, Joyride (Red Moon Press) and Unscathed. A classical musician, public radio broadcaster, and cultural journalist, Jennifer Hambrick lives in Columbus, Ohio.
Christopher Johnston has published articles in Christian Science Monitor, Cleveland Magazine, Crain’s Cleveland Business, Scientific American, Time and others. His plays have been performed at Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama, convergence-continuum, and Talespinner Children’s Theatre. His play Last Light was performed at the West 78th Street Theatre Lab in New York. He teaches playwriting and creative nonfiction at Cleveland State University.
The First Wednesday reading in April will feature Amanda Stovicek D’Alessandro of Cleveland and Jyotsna Sreenivasan of Columbus.
