Wrap up the end of summer with First Fridays September! First Fridays is a free event held at locations throughout downtown to kick off the beginning of each month. Head downtown on Friday, September 13, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and be part of the experience – music, entertainment, networking, delicious food, drink specials, shopping, art exhibits, family-oriented activities, and so much more!
During First Fridays on September 13, on and near Phelps Street in downtown Youngstown, there will be a free Chalk the Walk Contest from 3-7pm (Judging at 7pm – prizes to be announced). Chalk Art Creation area for children and families hosted by Students Motivated by the Arts from 4-8pm. A limited amount of Chalk will be provided by The Butler Institute of American Art & Students Motivated by the Arts. Please BYOC (Bring your own water-based chalk) if possible!

Additionally, the local Rotary Clubs of Youngstown, Warren, Austintown, Canfield, Boardman, and Girard-Liberty have worked together to raise funds to distribute as $25 gift cards to all of the downtown bars and restaurants and will be present with a prize wheel on Friday to give those away.
