The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is launching a brand new workshop series. Learn from the pros with these in-depth workshops as MVHS staff members discuss the tools and techniques they use in archival research and collections care.
The first workshop, Exploring your Roots: An Introduction to Genealogy is geared for the beginning genealogist, although experienced researchers will also find helpful information and tips. The workshop is Saturday, May 4 at 1:00pm at the Tyler History Center in Downtown Youngstown. It will be presented by Pam Speis, MVHS Archivist. In addition to the class, attendees can schedule a two hour private session with MVHS staff and subsequent visits to the Archives Library.
