Dreamgirls – The Youngstown Playhouse

The Youngstown Playhouse presents the musical Dreamgirls on the Main Stage. A sweeping and inspirational journey through 20th century American popular culture, Dreamgirls chronicles one Motown group’s rise from obscurity to superstardom. Through gospel, R&B, smooth pop, disco and more, Dreamgirls explores themes of ambition, hope and betrayal, all set in the glamorous and competitive world of the entertainment industry.

Performances are Friday, September 6 at 7:30pm; Saturday, September 7 at 7:30pm; Sunday, September 8 at 2:30pm; Friday, September 13 at 7:30pm; Saturday, September 14 at 2:30pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, September 15 at 2:30pm. For tickets, call 330-788-8739 or visit their website.
