Children’s Concert – Dana Ensemble

Sunday, May 1, 2022 @ 3:00 pm

Children's Concert

Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter & the Wolf and Camille Saint- Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals will be narrated by YSU President Jim Tressel at a children’s concert performed by the Dana Ensemble on Sunday, May 1 at 3:00pm at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Tickets are $8/general admission adult, $7/senior citizen and free for children under 12 years of age. YSU faculty, staff, and student tickets are free with a valid YSU ID. Tickets are available at or at the door that day.

Saint- Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals introduces a zoo of creatures large and small, while Prokofiev’s Peter & The Wolf tells the tale of a young boy’s adventures with a bird, a cat, a duck, and the eponymous wolf.

The Dana Ensemble is comprised of a flexible, modular roster of Dana School of Music faculty, often joined by regional guest artists, performing multiple times each semester for live performances in the area’s iconic performance spaces.
