The Friends of The Playhouse presents Norm Foster’s sparkling comedy Love List in the intimate Moyer Room, running January 31-February 2 and February 7-9.
In this side-splitting and thought-provoking play, two friends, Leon and Bill, draft a list of the top ten qualities in an ideal mate. However, when their “perfect woman” miraculously appears, they discover the pitfalls of perfection and learn that their list might need some serious revisions. With witty humor and insightful commentary on relationships, Love List promises a night of laughter and reflection.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm beginning January 31 to February 2 and February 7 to February 9, 2025. Tickets are available for purchase online at YoungstownPlayhouse.org or by calling the box office at 330-259-6951.
Sweetheart Sockhop will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 6:00pm at Westside Bowl. $10 entry. Twist and shout on down for a rockin’ good time with DJ Marco. This dance offers families five special nights from which to select a date that best matches their busy schedule. Reservations for the 2025 Father-Daughter Dance are available for February 14, 15, and 16, and the following weekend on February 21 and 22. The dinner-dance will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday.
Daughters, from ages 5 years old to 13, will enjoy a memory-making evening with their father, step-father, grandfather, uncle, or that special father figure in their life. Come dressed in party clothes [semi-formal attire] for a night that will include a delicious catered dinner, dancing to a DJ, a professional father-daughter keepsake photo, as well as, craft-making and other surprises are planned.
Tickets for the 2025 Father-Daughter Dance go on sale starting January 14. Due to the popularity of this event, tickets must be purchased in advance at the time you secure your reservation date. Tickets will be sold online at www.boardmanpark.com or by calling, or stopping in, the Boardman Park Office at 330-726-8105. Cash, credit cards, and checks are accepted. Tickets for daughters are $25 each. Tickets for fathers who are Boardman residents are $30 each, and $40 for those fathers not currently residents of Boardman. This event sells out quickly and tickets will NOT be sold at the door.
