Maze Craze – Corn Maze

Maze Craze

Get Rolling and Get Lost in over 23 acres of corn at Maze Craze! The best corn maze in Ohio and Pennsylvania is located in New Springfield, OH. Maze Craze was featured as one of the top ten corn mazes in the United States in 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023 in the USA Today poll. The design for 2024 is Steamboat Willie “Thanks for the Memories”.

Enjoy other activities including straw pyramids, sunflowers, corn boxes, corn hole, wood cut-outs for photos, gemstone mining, corn cannon, kiddie zipline, tire playground, and swingset. Hayrides & barrel train rides on Saturdays and Sundays until dusk, weather permitting.

Open weekends September 13-November 3, 2024: Friday, 5:00pm-11:00pm (last ticket sold at 9:30pm); Saturday, 11:00am-11:00pm (last ticket sold at 9:30pm); and Sunday, 11:00am-9:00pm (last ticket sold at 7:30pm). November 3 maze closes at 7:00pm (last ticket sold at 5:00pm).

Fall Harvest Weekends at White House Fruit Farm

Join White House Fruit Farm for harvest season! The Market, Fall Gift Barn & Pumpkin Pavilion will be open Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 11am-5pm. The Fall Gift Barn is stocked with beautiful fall and holiday decor, gift ideas, family fun, apparel and more. The Pumpkin Pavilion is perfect for picking pumpkins, gourds, straw, corn stalks and more. Lutz Greenhouse is back with beautiful mums and fall décor too.

Additional activities will be held on the weekends September 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 28-29, October 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, and 26-27:

  • Farmville Fun kid’s play area – Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am-5:00pm*, $10 for ages 2-15.
  • Budgie Barn Experience – Click here for Fall hours. $3 per person cash only.
  • Horse Drawn Wagon Rides – Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am-5:00pm*, $5 per rider.
  • Petting Zoo – Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am-5:00pm*, $1 per person
  • Pony Rides – Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am-5:00pm*, $5 per rider
  • Unicorn Rides – Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am-5:00pm*, $10 per rider

Boardman Community Day at the Park

Boardman Community Day

Boardman Community Day will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 in Boardman Park. This annual free event celebrates the history of the township and provides a variety of fun events for all ages.

Free community activities will be held from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and include wagon rides through the park, face painting, bounce houses and inflatable games, as well as the Touch a Truck event.  A variety of Boardman community organizations and services will have information tables. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event and free snacks will be distributed to children, while they last.

At 6:30pm live music by No Funk No Justice, on stage at the Maag Outdoor Theatre. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

Fireworks will complete Boardman’s day of celebration and will begin approximately at 8:30pm.

Silly Science Sunday

LOCATION CHANGE: Silly Science Sunday will be held in Wean Park and the Huntington Community Alley in downtown Youngstown.

OH WOW! Children’s Center’s annual Silly Science Sunday event, sponsored by David and Caroline Jones, will look different this year as it moves to Wean Park and the Huntington Community Alley downtown Youngstown on Sunday, September 15 from 11:00am-4:00pm.

The free event featuring STEAM activities from a variety of exhibitors is in its 14th year downtown Youngstown. Hosted by OH WOW! it continues to provide families and learners of all ages the chance to discover, explore, and engage with exciting STEAM education and workforce opportunities in the Valley.

Though the event is typically hosted outside the museum doors on Central Square, continued closures due to improvement projects led organizers to opt for relocation. Due to the new location, OH WOW! will be closed during the event.

This year’s event will feature many of OH WOW!’s longtime partners including Youngstown State University College of STEM, area robotics teams, The Butler Institute of American Art, SMARTS, The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, and many more. Attendees can anticipate the opportunity to design and fly giant paper airplanes, play in bubbles, ride on robotic recliners, witness chemical reactions, and all the exciting activities provided by the exhibitors.

Additional exhibitors include YWCA Mahoning Valley, First Robotics, MCCTC, Valley STEM Academy, BRITE Energy Innovators, Home Depot- Austintown, Sharon Robotics, City Machine Technologies, Akron Children’s Hospital, America Makes, Roth ID Tag, and many more. In addition to exhibitors, food vendors include Sweet Sips, One Hot Cookie, Armida’s Cucina, and R&J Smokers.
