For one weekend only, June 27 and 28, 2025, The Youngstown Playhouse presents Blackheart Arts Lady Lord Macbeth, a new reimagining of the Shakespeare classic, pared down to simply the Lady and Lord Macbeth. In this show, the audience is invited into the private plottings of this entwined couple as they grapple with the ambition, power, and rage at the very heart of their fated and tragic journey to the throne of Scotland.
Created using only the original words from the Bard himself, Lady Lord Macbeth examines the love at the core of the central relationship within Macbeth, deepening the connections to their marriage and failed attempts at parenthood.
