Join Ballet Western Reserve for its 2021 production of The Nutcracker, with a special guest appearance from BWR alum Austin Dabney, formerly of The Boston Ballet and Ballet West! Based on the E.T.A. Hoffman tale, “The Nutcracker and The Mouse King”, the reimagined telling shares the story of young Clara and her mysterious godfather, Drosselmeyer. When a curse is made upon Drosselmeyer’s nephew, he embarks on a plan that will forever change Clara’s life. Let the YSU-faculty orchestra, The Dana Ensemble, sweep you away with Tchaikovsky’s original score as Clara, The Nutcracker, and the Mouse Queen entertain in a story of curiosity and delight!
