Come join the fun as OH WOW! Children’s Center for Science & Technology spills out into the streets of Downtown Youngstown. The 12th Annual Silly Science Sunday will take place on Sunday, September 18 from 11am-4pm. OH WOW! takes over Central Square as well as a portion of W. Federal Street (between Phelps and Federal Plaza) to provide a variety of hands-on activities, exhibitors, and stage shows all related to science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and mathematics (STREAM). The FREE event will feature more than 40 exhibitors and local food trucks.
Have you ever watched a watermelon explode from the force of rubber bands? Have you ever done an egg drop challenge 50 feet up from a drone? OH WOW! would like to show you how it’s done! Watermelon explosions will be just one of many demonstrations happening outside the Center’s doors.
