Mahoning Valley Historical Society announces that it will partner with the Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society to honor the memory of the late Dr. Rick Shale with a special event. The public is invited to the Tyler History Center from 12:00pm-4:00pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 4, 5 and 6, for “Remembering Rick: Art and Friendship.” Co-hosted by both organizations, the show and sale of Rick’s artwork, both photographs and paintings, will be held in the Thomas Ballroom at Tyler History Center, and visitors will be able to view and purchase the items on display.
Admission to Tyler History Center will be free during this event. The net proceeds from sale will benefit Mahoning Valley Historical Society and the Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society, as Rick belonged to and generously supported both organizations. Shale, 1947-2022, was a retired Youngstown State University Professor, community activist, and MVHS board member.
