The Rotary Club of Youngstown will be doing its part to help eradicate polio on Saturday, October 24, by holding its second annual Pints vs Polio event. Pints vs Polio will be held at the B & O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., in Youngstown from noon until 3pm. Penguin City Beer and the B & O will donate the proceeds to Rotary’s Polio Plus Fund for every pint of beer sold that day. As a courtesy to others, please practice social distancing and wear a mask at the event. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
The Youngstown Rotary Foundation will match the amount raised, while the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will then match that total amount two for one. With matching contributions, each pint sold can save 14 lives.
