
The 118th Memorial Day Parade hosted by Boardman Kiwanis Club will begin at 10:00am at Boardman Center Intermediate School on Market Street and will proceed north to US Route 224, then head east to Boardman Township Park.
Prior to the Parade, starting at 9:00am is the Memorial Mile, a running road race which follows the same route as the Parade. Applications are available at Walgreens, YMCA and Second Sole.
There will be a program honoring our Veterans immediately following the parade at the Maag Outdoor Amphitheater. Keynote speaker is Mr. James Guterba, a United States Marine Corps and Vietnam War Veteran, and a retired educator from the Boardman Local Schools. Ms. Lauren Johnson will lead the invocation. Lt. Colonel Bill Moss, USAF Retired, will lead The Pledge of Allegiance and place a wreath in honor of our deceased veterans. The Boardman High School National Honor Society President will place a wreath in honor of our currently serving military personnel. Mr. Mark Luke of the Boardman Kiwanis Club will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The Boardman High School Wind Ensemble will provide music for the Service.
In the event of rain, the service will be held in the Boardman Center Intermediate School Auditorium at 10:00am.
