The Mahoning Valley St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been canceled due to health risks surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The 42nd annual Mahoning Valley St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020. This year’s theme is “Irish Heritage…Rooted Deep in the Valley”. One of the largest parades in the state of Ohio, each year 25,000 to 30,000 spectators come out to celebrate this beloved family tradition. The parade will begin at 1:00pm at Market Street and McClurg Road in Boardman and proceed north on Market Street to Southwoods Avenue.
The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Bill Lawson, the Ockerman Award recipient is Kurt Hillderbrand, and our Lord Mayor of Kilkenny is Judge Scott Hunter. Leading the parade will be our Shamrock Balloon, the Boardman Spartan High School Marching Band and the Boardman Township Trustees.
