Learn the sport of fishing with the assistance of the Mill Creek MetroParks Police Department. This is a catch and release Derby style fishing event. Officers will assist kids (up to 15 years of age) while learning the basics of fishing, setting up fishing poles, how to cast, and identifying different species of fish. You are welcome to bring your own equipment. Poles, equipment, and bait will be provided, depending on availability. For questions call Lt. Jason Clark 330-740-7119 ext. 152.
Participation is limited and masks must be worn at all times except when actively exercising. We urge you to respect six feet of physical distance among other CDC and Ohio Department of Health guidelines. There will be no drop-ins, you must be registered for the program to participate unless otherwise indicated. Events may be canceled due to prescribed COVID-19 protocols. Do not attend class if you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19.
