Mahoning Valley St. Patrick’s Day NEIGHBORHOOD Parades

Although the 2021 Mahoning Valley St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been cancelled, the committee is asking the loyal and enthusiastic spectators to celebrate with family and friends by holding neighborhood parades following all CDC guidelines. Please make plans to step off at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Share videos of your parade to their Facebook page. The videos that receive the top 3 likes will be awarded: 1st Place – $150; 2nd Place – $100; and 3rd Place – $50. Videos must be uploaded by midnight March 16, 2021. Awards will be announced on March 17, 2021.

 

St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Weave through the vines at The Vineyards at Pine Lake to find both scavenger hunt items and samples of their new Pine Lake Brewing Company beers! Choose from two dates: Sunday, March 14 or Saturday, March 20, 2021. Ticket cost is $35 per person and includes the scavenger hunt, 6 Pine Lake Brewing Company beer samples, 1 pint of their new Irish Brew with a souvenir glass and a VPL Scavenger Hunt t-shirt. All groups can have between 1-4 guests. Larger groups will be split up into smaller groupings. You must be 21 or older to attend and advance registration is required.

Piccadilly Parlour Victorian Tea Room will kick off their St. Patrick’s Day celebration with their famous homemade favorites, such as Irish Quiche, Shepherd’s Pie, and Corned Beef & Cabbage. The special teas for the occasion are Top of the Morning, Irish Tea, and Chocolate Mint Tea. They will also be featuring their Homemade Irish Scones. Shamrock Run 5K & 1-Mile

The 3rd annual Shamrock Run 5K and 1-Mile will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Canfield Fairgrounds. The 1-Mile will begin at 1:30pm. The 5K will take place in two heats: 2:00pm (sold-out) and 3:00pm. There is also a virtual option for those participants not comfortable participating in person. Registration includes a participant t-shirt, finisher medal and bib number. Masks will be required for all participants until the start of the race. Social-distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced.

 

Irish Night at the Youngstown Phantoms Game

On Saturday, March 13, the Youngstown Phantoms take on the Dubuque Fighting Saints in exciting USHL hockey at the Covelli Centre. The first 250 Phans will receive a Youngstown Clothing Co. customized t-shirt! COVID-19 safety guidelines are in place, including social distanced seating and face mask requirements.
