Thanksgiving Weekend in Youngstown
Once the turkey is gone and the pie has been devoured, after you stood in long lines and got the best deals on Black Friday, the fun doesn’t have to end. It’s actually just beginning! Thanksgiving weekend is chock full of events for the whole family. If you’re looking for the best way to get yourself in the holiday spirit, here are some great ways to do just that!
Memories of Christmas Past
The Arms Family Museum is sparkling for the holiday season! Come enjoy whimsical displays of woodland elves, a traditional German candle pyramid, a seven foot tree filled with handmade beaded ornaments, and a room dedicated to patriotic décor. On exhibit through January 8th you’ll have several chances to take the family to Memories of Christmas Past this holiday season. Get in for half price Thanksgiving weekend by donating a canned good!

* Note Construction: Wick Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Wood Street to the Madison Avenue Expressway. Local traffic will be maintained in the southbound lane from the service road at the Madison Avenue Expressway. Visitors to the Arms Family Museum can access Wick Avenue from that intersection and proceed to the museum parking lot.
When: Tuesdays through Sundays 12:00-4:00pm, Thursdays 12:00-7:00pm (closed Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)

Olde Fashioned Christmas at the Mill
Lanterman’s Mill loves getting all dressed up for Christmas time! Gather up the family and head down to a Youngstown tradition you won’t want to miss. Taste chestnuts freshly roasted on an open fire, purchase hand crafted ornaments and gifts, take in a musical performance and even have the kids bring their Christmas lists to give directly to Santa himself.
Old Fashioned Christmas at the Mill allows you to give back as well. Bring a new hat, scarf or pair of mittens to help decorate the “Giving Tree.” Your donation will help keep children in need warm this winter.

Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker
The DeYor Performing Arts Center is proud to bring Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker to the Valley. Garnering rave reviews, the Great Russian Nutcracker is perfect for setting the holiday mood. Watch in awe as the show’s larger than life Christmas tree sprouts to 60 feet tall right before your eyes, and witness some of the best dancers on the planet as they perform an all time classic.
