Independence Day Celebrations in Mahoning County

Ever since the 7th century in China, fireworks have been one of the brightest (and loudest!) forms of celebration. First used to ward off demons in religious ceremonies, fireworks have come a long way from a concoction of saltpeter being stuffed into bamboo shoots. Fireworks are now a favorite staple of Independence Day celebrations and we have no shortage of them in the Mahoning Valley!
